Job Description:

The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship in the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is seeking faculty members to teach courses beginning January 2025 for the spring semester. These positions will be at the ranks of Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Teaching or Practice and come with the possibility of both renewal and increased FTE. The teaching assignments will be between one and four sections and may include a variety of classes taught face-to-face and online. ISU is a residential campus so, even if some teaching is online, Iowa residency and regular time on campus throughout the semester is required. The possible courses include:

  • MGMT 478 – Strategic Management

  • MGMT 371 – Organizational Behavior (undergraduate)

  • MGMT 502 – Organizational Behavior (MBA)

  • MGMT 471 – Introduction to Human Resource Management

  • ENTSP 310 – Entrepreneurship and Innovation

    The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship is a vibrant, supportive, and productive group of 37 faculty members (https://www.ivybusiness.iastate.edu/directory/?Department=MGMT&FName=&LName=) (21 tenure-track and 17 term) currently chaired by Scott Johnson. With research interests spanning the areas of HR, OB, Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Healthcare Management, they have published research in a wide variety of top journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Business Venturing. The department offers undergraduate degrees in Human Resource Management, Management, Entrepreneurship, Healthcare Management, and International Business. The department also offers a Masters in Entrepreneurship and hosts PhD programs in Management as well as Entrepreneurship.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

-Previous teaching experience

-Master's degree

-Recent or continuing professional experience as required for AACSB accreditation

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience teaching courses at ISU

-Experience teaching business-related courses

-Experience teaching entrepreneurship/innovation-related courses

-Experience with ISU’s learning management system, Canvas

-ABD or Ph.D.
