Actalent Quality Assurance Technician in Ames, Iowa

Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description

  • Review finished products for quality defects.

  • Perform all DON testing (mycotoxin testing).

  • Conduct appearance checks on products.

  • Prepare samples (grinding) for additional testing such as ash, protein, and moisture.

  • Perform weekly scale calibration and Environmental Monitoring Swabbing (EMP).

  • Run ELISA testing methodology.

  • Document results and lab notes in Excel.

  • Work on additional small projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Culinary Food Science, Microbiology, Biology or other related field
