Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

Job Description

Review finished products for quality defects. Perform all DON testing (mycotoxin testing). Conduct appearance checks on products. Prepare samples (grinding) for additional testing such as ash, protein, and moisture. Perform weekly scale calibration and Environmental Monitoring Swabbing (EMP). Run ELISA testing methodology. Document results and lab notes in Excel. Work on additional small projects as assigned.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Ames, Iowa.

Work Environment

SHIFT: 5 AM - 2 PM with rotating days and weekend work. 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks. TRAINING: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM (lasting around 6-8 weeks). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lift 25 lbs regularly, able to lift 50 lbs, not color blind or visually impaired. Team Culture: Reporting to the Quality Supervisor, working within a team of 9 with diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Dress Code: Steel-toed or composite boots required, work-appropriate jeans and t-shirt (no jewels or embellishments).
