Description

We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team in Cedar Falls, Iowa for a 2-4 month project. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of customer accounts throughout the full Accounts Receivable cycle. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity offering 40 hours of work a week.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately apply cash collections to respective customer accounts

• Proactively follow up with customers to resolve any past-due invoices

• Process credit memos when necessary

• Undertake problem-solving activities related to Accounts Receivable, working collaboratively with customers and sales staff

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers periodically, setting or approving credit limits and terms of sale

• Review payments and ensure they are applied to the correct invoice

• Account reconciliation

• Add new customers, vendors, and capital projects to the database

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working within accounts receivable

• Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Demonstrable experience with bank reconciliations

• Strong bookkeeping skills

• Proficient in data entry tasks

• Experience in using Microsoft Excel

• Skills in cash applications

• Experience in handling credit memo

• Knowledge of credit risk management is a plus
