Duties & Responsibilities

  • Composes and maintains state and federal SIS system compliance reports and ensures their accuracy and timely posting.

  • Manages the Infinite Campus student information system including, but not limited to, performance of student information beginning and year end tasks; course and grading system setup; providing data analysis; and serving as technical advisor on student information-related projects with both District administration and other District personnel.

  • Provides District staff with detailed reports within the parameters required by staff in a timely manner

  • Run audits on data entered into the student information system (e.g. student record updates, assessment records, attendance, scheduling, grading, transcripts, etc) for accuracy

  • Supports the Online Registration system within Infinite Campus, including, providing assistance to staff and families to troubleshoot and process registration applications.

  • Assists in the support of the Parent and Student Portals within Infinite Campus by assisting staff, students, and families to troubleshoot and process registration applications.

  • Supports the Parent and Student Portals within Infinite Campus by assisting staff, students, and families in activating and maintaining their portal accounts

  • Assists and trains district staff on the use of student information systems (e.g. new applications, upgrades, updates, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring proper and efficient use of the system.

  • Assists in the design logic for individual systems, programs, or related interfaces between software programs, including importing and exporting data as required.

  • Assists the SIS vendor and other District staff in the creation of requirements for student information system custom applications and/or reports.

  • Provides technical assistance, advice and support: including but not limited to, training, system troubleshooting, data analysis and report and correction of data entry errors.

  • Participates in the planning, implementation and conversion of any SIS systems and programs.

  • Provide second-level and initial response to helpdesk inquiries by troubleshooting student information system problems and/or distributing work tickets to appropriate SIS support personnel. Work with building administrators, secretaries, technology staff, and team members SIS support staff to maintain and keep an accurate troubleshooting database.

  • Provides assistance to SIS users in report generation and data acquisition using Ad Hoc reports feature and other report writing tools.

  • Work with other employees within the department to integrate activities to meet District and department goals.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, moving equipment/boxes up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

  • Good attendance and punctuality are required.

  • Must be self motivated and able to complete work without direct supervision.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience in developing and managing computer (or technology based) information systems and database administration.

  • Experience with the management of student and other school data.

  • Experience generating reports and making recommendations for end users.

  • Experience following privacy regulations and handling sensitive information.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and diverse populations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
