Job Description

The Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking anInformation Technology Support Worker 3to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting state enterprise-level print operations while maintaining the highest standards of data security and efficiency. Position Details:
Schedule:2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 4:00 P.M. - 12:30 A.M.
Location:Capital Complex - Des Moines, Iowa
What You'll Do:
Information Technology Support
Ensure seamless transfer of print files from mainframes and other data sources.
Troubleshoot data transfer issues and coordinate resolutions with agencies and vendors.
Validate print data accuracy, form specifications, and adherence to security protocols.
Obtain and maintain required print-related certifications (e.g., iGENS, IRS).
Print Operations Management
Operate high-speed, high-volume digital printers to meet customer print job requests.
Load paper stock, configure printers, and monitor job progress for quality assurance.
Perform operator maintenance, address technical issues, and coordinate service calls.
Maintain accurate logs for impression counts and waste destruction.
Team Collaboration & Customer Service
Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and team members through timely and professional communication.
Participate in team meetings, cross-train coworkers, and contribute to projects and work groups.
Provide quality control of printed materials and ensure they meet customer specifications.
Print Delivery Support
Operate finishing equipment such as folders to prepare materials for distribution.
Deliver completed print jobs to customers and provide additional support as needed.
This position requires handling confidential information, so the selected candidate will be required to have a Federal background check performed.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
The equivalent of two years of full-time clerical work experience in a data processing environment;
OR
the successful completion of a recognized one-year training program in data processing;
OR
employees with current continuous work in the state executive branch that includes the equivalent of twelve months of full-time experience as an Information Technology Support Worker 2 shall be considered qualified.
