SHI Manager - ASG Presales Engineering in Des Moines, Iowa
Job Summary
The Manager of Presales Engineering is a Technical Sales and Pre-Sales Managersupporting a team ofEngineers, Architects,and Specialists whose focus is to bring the right technical solutionsto meet customer needs. This individualwill coach, train, and develop Solutions Engineers.In addition, theywillbeinvolved in customer meetings to move the process forward andactivelyclose deals with the team. This position is remote withaHomeOffice setup asdeterminedby SHI management.

Responsibilities
_Include but not limited to: _
Engagingwith multiple layers of contacts within aclient’sorganization, including but not limited to CIO, CTO, IT Directors,andApplication Managers, to sell, build relationships anduncoveropportunities
Collaboratingwith sales teamto helpclose dealsby speakingtothe technical side of recommendedsolutions
Engagingthe Local Technology Community (MFGsand SI Partners) and theappropriate customertechnical personnel toestablishmarketcredibility
Strategically trainingsales team onthepositioning of company solution practices, ensuring theyunderstandcustomers'ongoingenterpriseneeds
Monitoringemployee performance and attendance records, actingon performance issues in a fair and consistent mannerbyprovidingactionable feedback,anddrivingemployeerecognition
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum5years in a Pre-Sales Technical role
Minimum 3years ofexperienceworkingwithcomplex Data Center, Cloud, Collaboration, Security,and Network salesopportunities
Minimum2 years development and coaching experience

Ability to clearly communicate ideas and effectively work well with employees and collaborate in a teamsetting
Ability to motivatetheteam by setting a missionandthen turning it into clear, specific,and measurablegoals
Strategic planning abilities in line with business segment and company initiatives
Ability to be honest and hold oneself accountable to build trust and serve as anexample
Deep understanding and experience working with enterprise technology organizations (Dell/EMC, HPE, Cisco, VMWare, AWS, Microsoft, Palo Alto, Customers, etc.) and knowledge ofthecompetitiveITlandscape
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Visio/PPT and delivering customer proposals
Unique Requirements
- Position requires 35% of travel for business
Additional Information
The estimated annual pay range for this position is $180,000 - $370,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
