Summary/Objective

The primary objective of this position is to propose the correct equipment for each electrical application as required for the water and wastewater industry. Day-to-day activity will consist of electrical equipment selections, reviewing plans and specifications, preparing cost estimates, quotes, and take-offs. These will be achieved by gathering and creating proposals, scopes, drawings/plans, specifications, and related documents. In addition, you are to be a liaison with customers and create a positive relationship with each customer and respond to their requests/needs in a timely manner. You will be required to work effectively and accurately, often under pressure, and to set (and change) priorities based upon workload and deadlines.

Desired Skills:

• Internet-based research skills.

• Proficient and well versed with Microsoft Office, PDF Platforms, CAD Software (this is a bonus), and other day to day computer skills.

• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers, engineers, contractors and fellow staff.

• Analyze and understand blueprints, plans and specifications.

• Identify pertinent mechanical equipment, instruments, and processes.

• Electrically & Mechanically inclined, trained and skilled.

• Conflict and discrepancy resolution seeker / problem solving skills.

• Reporting, & strategic planning given each respective task at hand.

• Water & Wastewater controls background including but not limited to PLC’s, Programming, Troubleshooting, VFD’s, and process instrumentation (this is a plus).

Desired Experience:

• Estimating, Inside Sales, Electrical Background, Customer Service, Trouble Shooting, and or Project Management.

• Work experience in a related field.

• Understanding of construction processes.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

Desired Education:

• Trade School – Mechanical or Electrical.

• Associates Degree in a related field of Accounting, Applied Science, or Engineering.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field of Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Agriculture Systems Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting, Business Management, or related.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is not a remote position.

Pay Details: $56,000.00 to $62,400.00 per year
