Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the design and development of both legacy and new products. The role will be evenly split between design work and collaborating with cross-functional groups on the production floor. This position involves real-time problem solving, root cause analysis, and implementing new designs or process conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of legacy and new products.

• Collaborate with cross-functional groups on the production floor.

• Conduct real-time problem solving and root cause analysis on the production line.

• Implement new designs or process conditions based on analysis.

• Utilize Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks for product development.

• Perform FEA and GD&T to analyze the feasibility of projects.

• Create project proposals using Microsoft suite.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks.

• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in design and analysis of designs.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, etc.).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fenestration, windows, doors, cabinetry, or design and analysis of wood.

• Experience working on smaller plant projects.

• Knowledge of door and window casements and design.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $60.00/hr.
