Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to assist in the design and development of both legacy and new products. This role involves a balanced mix of design work and cross-functional collaboration, with approximately 50% of time spent in design and the other 50% interacting with team members on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Autodesk Inventor/SolidWorks for legacy and new product development.

• Perform FEA and GD&T to run feasibility analyses on projects.

• Create project proposals using Microsoft Suite.

• Collaborate with cross-functional groups and floor members to ensure project success.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks design software.

• Experience with FEA and GD&T.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including creating macros and writing formulas.

• Experience in fenestration, windows, doors, cabinetry, or design and analysis of wood.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in design/analysis post-education.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field (Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Engineering, etc.).

• Experience with ERP system changes is a plus.

• Experience in designing and analyzing door and window casements.

Work Environment
