Description We are seeking a Controller in Grinnell, Iowa. The primary function of this role is to oversee the accounting functions including accounts payable and receivable, auditing, and budget processes. The Controller will also play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of accounting software systems in the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the proper functioning of accounting software systems.

• Manage all accounting functions to ensure the smooth running of the organization.

• Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Conduct regular audits to maintain the integrity of financial information.

• Oversee budget processes to ensure financial stability and growth.

• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies in customer credit records.

• Ensure accurate processing of customer credit applications.

• Regularly review customer accounts and take necessary action.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.

• Resolve customer inquiries regarding financial matters promptly and professionally. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge in Auditing processes and procedures

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred

• Proven work experience in a similar role

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
