Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Program Coordinator facilitates the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and engagement of AmeriCorps members at partner agencies. This role is responsible for coordinating with community partners, working to align resources and advance shared initiatives that address community priorities. This position will be instrumental in driving program outreach by maintaining a social media presence, publicizing campus opportunities and events through various channels. Additionally, this position will also support data collection for compliance, to ensure program goals are met, and partner expectations are achieved.
This is a part-time role working 1000 hours or less each fiscal year.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinates recruiting, on-boarding, and training for a team of AmeriCorps members.
Plans and facilitates individual and groups meetings.
Coordinates activities to engage, retain, and recognize team members.
Maintains the program Facebook page to build awareness of program-related events and opportunities.
Coordinates action across various community partners so that they can work as a community team to advance priority projects
Coordinates submission of member progress reports to partners agencies.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years or more of professional experience
High School diploma or general education degree ( GED )
Demonstrated experience with community outreach and relationship building
Champions Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Planning and organizing skills; strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate strategically with a variety of constituents
Independent self-starter with developed problem-solving skills
Demonstrated experience with staff supervision and recognizes the value of teamwork
Ability to work with frequent interruptions
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Prior experience with AmeriCorps programs or similar service-focused initiatives.
