Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

Carpenter will be working on commercial and multi-family projects in the IC/CR corridor. Responsibilities include rough carpentry, casework, hanging doors and windows, framing walls and structures, some drywall, cleaning jobsites (sweeping, removing trash, etc.), setting pre-hung doors, wood and steel framing, and setting cabinets. Starting projects include a new warehouse build south of the IC airport, a hotel in CR, two housing developments (one in North Liberty, one in Coralville), and a church addition in Tiffin valued around $20 million.

Work Environment

Mixed use and multi-family commercial construction projects. Typically several subcontractors with 20-30 people on site; however, the team will be smaller, around 4-5 people. Current projects include a new warehouse build south of the IC airport, a hotel in CR, two housing developments (one in North Liberty, one in Coralville), and a church addition in Tiffin valued around $20 million. Work hours are Monday-Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. Dress code includes jeans, work jeans, and boots. PPE (hard hat, safety vest, and glasses) will be provided.
