ManpowerGroup Lab Research Assistant in Johnston, Iowa

Are you looking for a hands-on role in agricultural science? Join our team as a Field Research Assistant and contribute to groundbreaking research in seeds regulatory science.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process plant material in a laboratory setting using specialized equipment, including lyophilizers, blenders, grinders, and analytical balances.

  • Track samples and record data using lab software systems (e.g., LIMS).

  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment to minimize contamination risks.

  • Perform all tasks in accordance with safety policies, Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company protocols.

  • Work in unique environments, including walk-in freezers (-5?F), and handle dry ice and frozen samples.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience : Tissue processing, food manufacturing, warehouse operations, or inventory management.

  • Skills : Proficiency in laboratory software systems, strong attention to detail, and ability to follow safety protocols.

  • Physical Abilities : Comfortable standing for extended periods, lifting 20+ lbs overhead, and working in cold environments.

  • Knowledge : Familiarity with GLP or USDA biotech regulations is a plus.
