This temporary, full-time internship will start in May 2025 and work from our Johnston, Iowa location. Hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Learning Objectives:
Learn how to analyze marketing campaigns and review results to look for successes and opportunities.
Understand programming and model development.
Develop new reporting tools using programming languages such as Python, Excel and VBA.
Research new analytic developments.
Build macros to automate processes.
Improve current marketing tools for analytics and building campaign lists.
Assist Marketing team with reviewing projects, sharing ideas, and enhancing tools.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external teams.
Complete special projects on time with high quality.
Engage in programs and networking opportunities to strengthen business acumen in the insurance industry.
Support internship program by motivating and driving participation among intern peers to fully engage with opportunities available throughout the summer.
Represent Delta Dental of Iowa as well as the other Delta Dental companies in a professional manner both internally and externally.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required:
Must be an undergraduate student working toward a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Analytics or related field.
Must be able to demonstrate current 3.0 GPA or higher through transcripts.
Must be registered as a student to college or university for the 2025 Fall session.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Coursework in business, statistics, research, marketing, mathematics, or related field is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills required.
Participants will be required to submit a written analysis of project work and present a summary of analysis to leadership at the end of the program.
This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug test.
Freshman and Sophomore candidates will participate in theInsure Your Future (https://www.iowaeda.com/insure-your-future/) program with specific leadership development/networking opportunities on the following dates (times TBD):
a) Thursday, June 5th, 2025 b) Tuesday, June 17, 2025 c) Thursday, July 10, 2025 d) Thursday, July 24, 2025
Preferred:
Experience with Python and SQL.
Knowledge of VBA.
