Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
In support of the mission and vision of CHI Health, physical therapists provide evaluations, care planning, direct treatment and work as a collaborative member of the interdisclinary team in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Care planning, patient/family education, positive and professional physician and payer communication expected in this role. This role includes diagnosing and managing movement dysfunctions as well as restoring and maintaining optimal physical function. Strong knowledge of applicable laws, licensure, regulations and professional standards is expected.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Provides physical therapy assessment, care planning, patient treatment and education according to the professional practice guidelines defined by state and professional sources.
Works as a collaborative team member to develop a coordinated care plan that is accountable to achievement of established goals.
Is knowledgable and completes all required documentation and billing requirements according to established local, state and federal law.
Is responsible for the knowledge and application of measurable quality metrics associated with the area of active practice. Periodically attends team meetings to expand to discuss/improve program evaluation/quality measures
Provides supervision to physical therapy assistants and techs according to established to local, state and federal guidelines.
Takes responsibility to stay current with evidenced based practice guidelines, stays current with new research introduced and serves as a professional resource to other team members in the area of physical therapy practice.
In support of the academic health mission of the organization, periodically accepts assignment of student clinical education at all levels of clinical training.
Completes all mandatory education requirements around patient safety, quality security, infection control assigned by established timeframes and consistently demonstrates competency in daily practice.

Qualifications
Required Education for Staff Job Levels
Any combination of BS, MS, MPT, DPT
Required Licensure and Certifications
Active physical therapy license in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or physical therapy licensure compact. Basic life support is required upon hire.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Conducts self in a professional manner at all times which is demonstrated by positive verbal and written communication skills and professional dress.
PREFERRED Qualifications
Experience in a hospital or clinic is desired
Pay Range
$36.87 - $53.46 /hour
