Job Title: Water Quality Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Water Quality Technician to join our team in the ATL department, focusing on wastewater management. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the water entering and leaving the plant meets environmental safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the well water filters, including changing them and monitoring water quality readings.

  • Switch valves as needed to control water flow.

  • Test and analyze water quality data.

  • Document information accurately into the software system.

  • Communicate status updates with plant managers.

  • Complete lock-out tag-out procedures for safety.

  • Calibrate probes and process equipment as necessary.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of process flow, water treatment, and water quality standards.

  • Experience in environmental quality testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 6 months of experience in water processing, machine operation, lab, or quality control.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Work Environment

You will work in an aluminum and steel manufacturing plant. The dress code includes boots, jeans, and shirts, all of which are provided. You will be part of a medium-sized team of about 15 people, but you will be working independently most of the time. The work schedule depends on the operation of the plant's machines, and there can be significant downtime, which should be utilized for training and learning new duties.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
