Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision, according to the medical direction of the radiologist

• Must provide general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting films

• The sonographer will adopt the missions of the Hospital and Radiology Department

• Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics

• Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure

Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved school of Medical Sonography, either college affiliated or hospital trained

• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or registry eligible

• Registered sonographer with ARDMS

Schedule:

• PRN for 9 hour variable day shifts - must be flexible

• Scheduled on-call and holiday/weekends rotation

• The schedule may fluctuate based upon needs of the department
