Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

We are seeking skilled carpenters to join our team and work on various commercial construction projects. Our focus is on new construction, including smaller sites such as restaurants and small office builds. If you have a strong history in carpentry and are looking to work on diverse projects, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Self-perform work including steel stud framing, wood carpentry, and concrete tasks.

  • Hang and install hardware doors.

  • Possess a good knowledge of layouts and how interior finishes tie together.

  • Cut boards with circular saws.

  • Utilize math and calculations for precise measurements.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years' carpentry experience in commercial or residential settings.

  • Proficient in installing doors and windows.

  • Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with finishing, construction labor, and landscaping.

  • Skilled in using tools such as saws and nail guns.

Work Environment

You will be working on smaller construction job sites in teams of 3-10 people. The standard hours are from 7am to 4pm, but may vary depending on project requirements. When on the road, longer days may be necessary. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts or sweatshirts, and leather work boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waterloo, Iowa.
