Your day as a Member Engagement Facilitator

Are you passionate about making a difference in under-served communities? Join our team at Girl Scouts of Eastern IA and Western IL as a Member Engagement Facilitator, where you'll have the opportunity to deliver our empowering Girl Scout program to youth members at local schools and in partnership with other youth serving organizations. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in contributing to and implementingplans to serve youth that face barriers to participating in volunteer-led troops.

What you need to be successful

To be successful in the role of Member Engagement Facilitator at Girl Scouts, there are a few key skills and qualifications that we're looking for. First and foremost, self-management and confidence, as you'll be responsible for delivering the Girl Scout program independently. Active listening skills are crucial, as you'll be working closely with youth members and their families to understand their needs and interests. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying information and building relationships with various stakeholders.

While experience working with youth is preferred, it is not mandatory. Additionally, candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess basic computer skills, have the ability to lift 35 lbs, hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record, and have access to reliable transportation.
