Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Senior Project Manager in West Des Moines, Iowa. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be primarily responsible for managing complex projects within a cross-functional Agile environment, with a focus on finance and accounting. You will also be involved in large system implementation or upgrades within the insurance or financial industry, utilizing tools such as Atlassian JIRA.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage large-scale system implementations or upgrades

• Utilize a strong understanding of Project Management and SDLC processes to ensure project success

• Operate within a cross-functional Agile environment, employing Agile Scrum, IT project management, and Agile product management skills

• Lead Agile Transformation initiatives to improve project efficiency and effectiveness

• Leverage Atlassian JIRA for project management and tracking

• Draw on your finance and/or accounting background to contribute to finance reporting processes

• Utilize your experience in the insurance or financial industry to inform project management decisions

• Contribute to the success of the Project Management Office through meticulous project management

• Take on progressive responsibility within Project Management, demonstrating your skills and experience

• Use your cross-functional project management skills to ensure smooth collaboration between different teams and departments. Requirements • Proven experience in IT project management

• Proficiency in Atlassian Jira

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies

• Experience with PMO - Project Management Office

• Strong knowledge and experience in Project Management

• Ability to manage Cross Functional Projects

• Experience in Formal Project Management

• Knowledge of Agile product management

• Experience in Agile Transformation

• Ability to oversee System Implementation

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Advanced problem-solving skills
